Three Things Thursday

1. If you have one nearby, check out Big Lots. While the store is pretty hit or miss in what they carry, you can find some pretty neat things there. A couple weeks ago, I grabbed a few (okay, seven) bags of Bob's Red Mill GF pizza crust mix for - get this - $1.77 per bag. I cried, for the beauty was so great. They typically carry the pizza mix as well as other Bob's products, plus you can find good deals on things like olive oil, Nutella, and many other wonderful things. Today's haul for me included a snazzy new lunchbox and some new markers (yeah, I'm six, what of it?).

2. Loads of fun and yummies were apparently had at the Natural Products Expo West last week, and Erica at Celiac and the Beast has all the details for you. Look for a cameo by my new favorite GF treat, Glutino toaster pastries.

3. I'll be attending the filming of Jen Cafferty's Living Free TV this weekend. I'm really excited to see what kind of guests she has, but I'm pretty confident that they'll be great (Jen is the brains behind Gluten Free/Allergy Free Expo - more on that in another post).

3.5 This weekend is Luke's birthday, and I think a trip to Glen Prairie and Sweet Ali's are in the cards. How lucky am I to have a guy who wants to celebrate his day at my favorite places? (Answer: Pretty danged lucky).

  1. We have a few stores like Big Lots (and we actually have one of those, too) and I'm always surprised at how many reasonably priced gluten-free products they carry! I've seen a big variety at Ocean State Job Lot and Home Goods, as well.
